Hawaiian Ulu Quilt:
This is an ongoing project which began with a Hawaiian quilt class on QuiltUniversity.com I am currently adding a border and beading to complete this wall hanging. More photos to be posted soon.
Ocean Wave Wall Hanging:
I made this wall hanging for my mother. It was the first quilt block for my Sting Ray Quilt (shown below) which I used as a practice scrap for free motion quilting, but ended up using it to make a gift.
The hand beading took a very long time but I enjoyed it very much.
My first custom purse as a gift for my mother.
Yoga Cat Bag:
The lining fabric has cute cats in yoga /meditation poses with sunglasses on. My sister has two cats so I knew she would love this as a “lining surprise” as I like to call it.
These were made for my sister’s two cats to nap upon. Sizes were made custom to their liking. The long narrow one was specifically sized so that the cat could sleep on top of the television in her favorite spot.
Sting Ray Quilt:
I designed this Sting Ray quilt for my mother in November 2006. I used EQ5 for my designing tool. The fabrics are cotton and I am using Supreme’s King Tut “Peacock” thread for the quilting. For the batting I chose Quilter’s Dream Request. The backing is a wide turquoise flannel. I’ll eventually be adding some hand beading. I’ll post more pictures as the basting quilting process progresses.
Miscellaneous Quilt Designs:
These were two additional designs that I came up with while playing on EQ5 and designing the Sting Ray quilt shown above.
